Kawaii Sushi

This time we would like to share about another culinary experience. Welcome to Kawaii Sushi...

The restaurant was founded by two girls who used to sell sushi at Sunday Morning event in Gadjah Mada University. They developed their business by opening a Japanese fastfood restaurant located in a gas station in Baciro, Jogja. They chose this location because they can share parking lot, musholla, and toilet with the gas station. Brilliant, isn't it?

The sushi might not have original flavor since it has been adapted to fit Indonesian taste. This "Indonesian soul" not only can be found in the filling, but also the food processing (they also offer fried sushi). They claimed their menu halal, maybe that's why their waitresses mostly wear hijab. The foodstuff is not as fresh as the real sushi though. All food are well-cooked.

We enjoy spending time here because the price is affordable and the place is comfortable. Ah, if you try to eat at the second floor, you can order the other additional menu like suki. But for us, the menu at the first floor is enough to satisfy our appetite. You can find various kinds of sushi, don, and dessert.

The peanuts are served for free after you order
